With the holiday shopping season in full swing, here is information that will help you stay safe in stores and online.

  • Monitor your accounts
  • Beware of phishing scams
  • Limit large sums of cash
  • Secure your internet connection
  • Shop safely
  • When shopping online, read the site’s privacy policies

Additionally, the National Cyber Security Alliance and PRIVATE WiFi have released information on the threats of shopping on mobile devices, identifying the following tips help you shop securely this holiday season:
  • Using caution when connecting to public wifi networks.
  • Being on alert for phishing scams.
  • Activate two-step or multi-factor authentication on your mobile device(s).
  • Maintaining a clean computer machine or device.
  • Using stronger passwords.
