North Shore Bank to Debut First-ever Southside Dining Week Oct 23 – 30

Bank to provide qualifying customers credit toward meal purchases; Neighborhood restaurants can still join Fall effort
BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced the debut of Milwaukee’s first-ever Southside Dining Week. The week, organized and presented by the community bank that has a significant presence on the south side, will take place Oct. 23 – 30 and will feature over 20 restaurants from eight southside neighborhoods. Additional restaurants can still participate by committing by no later than Oct. 1.

“Milwaukee’s southside features some amazing hospitality and culinary establishments representing cuisines from around the world and through this coordinated effort we wanted to help support those businesses and neighborhoods where we do much work,” said Alfredo Martin, Area Branch Manager for North Shore Bank.

North Shore Bank’s Southside Dining Week, will kick off Saturday, Oct. 23, with a live band brunch at Zócalo Food Park from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Zócalo’s current food entrepreneurs participating in Southside Dining Week include Anytime Arepa, Dairyland, Foxfire, Mazorca Tacos, Modern Maki, Ruby’s Bagels and Scratch Ice Cream. The brunch will feature performances from local musicians and is presented by Mastercard®.

Following the kick-off event, participating restaurants will feature a signature dish for under $15 throughout the week. Participating establishments signed on thus far include MobCraft Beer, Screaming Tuna, Tacos Los Gemelos and more.

Neighborhood restaurants interested in participating to increase traffic, sales and visibility following the challenging year for the hospitality industry can sign up at Participating neighborhoods include Silver City, Burnham Park, Miller Park Way, Walker’s Point, Layton Park, Cesar Chavez, The Gateway to Milwaukee and Jackson Park.

To help produce the event, North Shore Bank retained the services NEWaukee and is working with multiple local organizations, including the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Southeast Wisconsin, VIA Community Development Corporation, Walker’s Point Neighborhood Association, The Gateway to Milwaukee and Historic Mitchell Street BID #4.
