North Shore Bank's New Shorewood Branch to Host Grand Opening Events Aug. 7-11

Grand Opening to include giveaways, account specials, chances to win prizes and a fundraiser to benefit the Shorewood SEED Foundation

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it has officially opened its new, full-service, state-of-the-art bank office at 4060 N. Oakland Ave. in Shorewood, on the southeast corner of Oakland and East Kenmore Place. The new office – built not far from where the bank was founded in 1923 – features an updated design concept and new technology that will offer Shorewood area customers more convenient banking options.

North Shore Bank's New Shorewood BranchThe bank will host grand opening events open to the public from Tuesday, August 7, through Saturday, August 11. Throughout the week guests will also be able to donate loose change to benefit the Shorewood SEED Foundation, which supports Shorewood public schools. North Shore Bank will match up to $1,000 of the donated change to support the organization.

Visitors can also enter a drawing for the grand prize of Shorewood Dining for a Year, including $100 gift cards to 12 local restaurants and a $300 gift card to Metro Market.

Each day of the grand opening week will have a special focus. Tuesday, Aug. 7 will be "drive-up day," with any customer who tries out the new drive-up receiving a free air freshener. Wednesday, Aug.  8 will be "pet day," and anyone who comes in with their furry friend will receive a pet-friendly gift. Thursday, Aug. 9 the bank will host a free sundae social from 1 to 3 p.m. with guests getting a free ice cream scoop in addition to a sweet treat. Friday, Aug.  10 is "lending day" and guests can visit with lending experts and learn about auto, recreational and home equity options.

To culminate the week, the bank will celebrate its 95th birthday with a special birthday party on Saturday, Aug.  11. Visitors will be able to enjoy cake, activities, and meet the bank’s seagull mascot, Seymour Savings. The first 50 children to attend will take home a free piggy bank.

Video TellersThe new branch features an open concept lobby and cutting-edge technology like drive-up Video Teller service, free self-serve coin counter, interactive tablet technology, video conferencing capabilities with product experts, and more. The branch is fully staffed with Concierge and Personal Bankers, a Branch Manager, and a Mortgage Loan Officer who will be on hand to help customers. The new technology and enhanced branch design will give customers more flexible options, including 70 hours/7 days a week extended banking hours.

The new office also features a custom bike rack for its customers and local community members. The bike rack was designed and created by students from Shorewood High School. The bike rack is shaped in a gentle "S" for Shorewood and also features a wave to represent the lake as well as a bike wheel for Shorewood’s bike-friendly culture.

Staff from both branches transferred to the new location where they will continue to offer high-touch, personalized customer service.
