North Shore Bank Named One of American Banker's "Best Banks to Work For"

Bank receives honor for third consecutive year

BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it has been named one of the country’s Best Banks to Work For by American Banker for the third consecutive year. The award annually honors the top banks that offer competitive salaries and benefits and make team members feel motivated, valued and engaged.

North Shore Bank was recognized for its community service and sustainability initiatives, including its dress-down days for local charities and its annual Earth Day partnership with the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee.

“We are honored to receive this respected award for the third year in a row,” said Molly Schissler, vice president of human resources for North Shore Bank. “We couldn’t have done it without our enthusiastic employees and their passion for customer service – they are truly the driving force behind our success.”

To be considered for the award, banks must have at least 50 employees working in the United States, and be a commercial bank, thrift, mutual association, mutual savings bank, savings and loan association, or a savings bank.

The two-step selection process included an evaluation of each participating bank’s workplace policies, practices and demographics (25 percent) and an employee survey to assess the experiences and attitudes of individual employees (75 percent). The combined scores determined the top banks in the nation and final rankings.

In all, 50 banks across the country achieved “Best Bank” status this year. The full list of Best Banks to Work For is available online at
