North Shore Bank to Offer Public Parking in Pewaukee That Will Benefit Local Businesses and Non-profits

Branch parking lot to help address public parking needs downtown while investing back in community
BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced plans to utilize its branch parking lot, which is adjacent to its current Pewaukee location at 120 W. Wisconsin Ave, to help address downtown parking needs while returning any parking profits to Pewaukee area non-profit organizations.

The privately-owned parking lot has transitioned to a community-give-back, metered parking system. It will support local tourism activity, businesses, and residents with all parking proceeds reinvested in the Pewaukee area community through North Shore Bank’s Bank on Kindness® initiative. North Shore Bank customers will always have free parking at the lot both during and after business hours.

“We’re thrilled to be offering this win-win-win opportunity to our Pewaukee community, which we’ve been lucky enough to serve for the past 25 years,” said Cristen Bauman, vice president and district manager at North Shore Bank. “We have close relationships with a variety of community organizations and participate in many events and activities in the area, and to be giving back to our community while also providing a much-needed service to our neighbors, is something of which we are proud.”

The bank has partnered with Wisconsin-based Interstate Parking on this controlled parking solution, which was approved by the Pewaukee Planning Commission on Nov. 11, 2021. The lot will offer 29 spots where instructional signs are posted. Beginning on Monday, Jun. 13, 2022, people will be asked to pre-pay by scanning a QR Code with their smartphone, selecting a rate, and entering their license plate and payment option. Bank customers park for free anytime. They simply enter the first six digits of the customer service phone number on the back of their North Shore Bank debit or credit card under “Add Promo Code.”

“We believe this parking offering is a great solution to continue to draw visitors to downtown with accessible parking, ensure professional management of the lot and parking regulations, and return any proceeds right back to the Pewaukee community,” said Baumann.
