GREEN BAY, Wis. – NeighborWorks Green Bay and North Shore Bank today announce that there is forgivable grant money still available through mid-November for Northeast Wisconsin qualifying home buyers. The grant dollars, up to $6,000 per applicant, are provided through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLB) Affordable Housing Program and are available for individuals who meet income and household member qualifications. The grant is forgiven over a 5-year period and can be combined with other programs to help local residents.

Qualifying individuals must live in the counties of Brown, Door, Calumet, Fond du Lac, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Sheboygan or Winnebago; have a household member who is elderly, disabled, a domestic abuse survivor, challenged with addiction, or homeless, and has a household income at or below 60 percent area medium income (AMI).

“Now more than ever is the time that our Green Bay community needs support.
