Shorewood Celebrates the Return of the Feast

Milwaukee, WI (August, 2021) - The Shorewood Business Improvement District (BID) will host the North Shore Bank Shorewood Feast presented by the Shorewood Foundation on Saturday, September 11, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. This family friendly festival takes place on the 4200 – 4400 blocks of N. Oakland Avenue. This year’s Feast includes food, vendors, two entertainment stages, kids’ activities, the Shorewood Artisan Market, and the signature Harvest Dinner.

The local restaurants and foodies who are joining us this year are sure to be a hit along with the fun family friendly activities,” said Steph Salvia, executive director of the Shorewood BID. “This year’s entertainment is not to be overlooked either. The talented line-up will have you dancing in the street.”

While at the event, attendees can relax and unwind on-site in the North Shore Bank ReCharge Lounge that offers games and charging stations. They can also enter the Shorewood Feast Giveaway for a chance to win $300 in gift cards to use at local restaurants. Entries are accepted between 8/25 and 9/11/21.

Harvest Dinner

The highlight of the event is the 7-course dinner. Each course will be prepared by chefs, bakers and merchants with local ties to the Shorewood community. Many of the ingredients will be sourced fresh from the Shorewood Farmers Market and guests will be served on biodegradable plates by Patra Eco-Dinnerware. The Compost Crusaders will be onsite to compost food scraps. Dinner tickets are available online now.

Chefs, bakers and purveyors for the Harvest dinner include several who are well-known nationally. Kimberly Hall, the owner of Signature Sweets bakery in Shorewood is a seven-time competitor on the Food Network and most recently was a judge for the show, Buddy vs. Duff; Chef Adam Pawlak, the owner of Egg & Flour Pasta Bar located in Milwaukee competed on Season 19 of Hell’s Kitchen; and Luke Zahm, is a James Beard-nominated chef and the owner of the Driftless Café. Zahm is also the host of the television show Wisconsin Foodie

Also participating are Alex Hanesakda, owner of SapSap, a restaurant specializing in Lao inspired cuisine, Executive Chef Marco Vera from C-Viche and Executive Chef and partner in the Black Shoe Hospitality Group Joe Muench. Both C’viche and Black Shoe Hospitality Group plan to open restaurants in Shorewood later this year. Lastly, the cheese course will be provided by Scout Wine Merchants who opened in Shorewood in November of 2020.

Headliners
The entertainment will showcase many Shorewood locals plus some Milwaukee favorites. De La Buena headlines at the Main Stage, which will be located outside of Draft & Vessel. This powerful 10-piece band brings their own version of Afro-Cuban and Latin Jazz. 

Caley Conway headlines the Locals Stage. She is known for her disarming breezy voice which ranges from jazz to post-rock rooted in folk. Other entertainment includes Band of Ringers, Mixtape, Milwaukee Irish Dance Studio, and the School of Rock.
