Choose Your Overdraft Coverage
Unexpected overdrafts can occur from time to time, and we offer overdraft coverage options to help. Overdraft Protection is an automatic transfer that uses your money. Overdraft Privilege uses the bank's discretionary coverage and may result in fees.
Learn more about covering overdrafts with Overdraft Protection and Overdraft Privilege.
Overdraft Protection
Overdraft Protection automatically transfers funds from another North Shore Bank deposit account or Home Equity Line of Credit to your checking account to cover your overdraft.
Overdraft Privilege
Overdraft Privilege is a service we provide that allows you to overdraft your account up to a disclosed limit for a fee in order to pay a transaction. You can choose how you’d like North Shore Bank to handle transactions on your account when you don’t have sufficient funds available. There is both Standard and Extended Coverage available to qualified customers.
Log in to your Digital Banking account and select Extended Debit Card Coverage (under the Services section) to get started.
