Honor Flight Fundraiser

Employees at North Shore Bank’s Corporate Headquarters held a patriotic fundraiser and raised $963 for honor flights to send American veterans to visit war memorials in Washington, D.C. It costs about $500 to send one vet on an honor flight, so the funds raised will make a difference for two of our former soldiers.

Employees also got to meet WWII vet Chuck Franzke of Waukesha, who attended the event with his wife, Bev. Stars and Stripes Honor Flight VP-Public Relations Karyn Roelke also attended. The bank will donate another $1,500 to Stars and Stripes, and $1,500 to Old Glory Honor Flight as well as part of their annual Worn American Flag Collection.
