Be Mindful of Debit Card Fraud

As you may have heard, the Burger King restaurant in Wauwatosa had a compromise that impacts debit/credit card users.  Any North Shore Bank customer, who used their debit, credit, prepaid, or gift card at Burger King in Wauwatosa, WI (124th and Capitol Dr.) from June 1 thru December 9, may be subject to fraud on their account. In November, North Shore Bank reissued debit cards that were used at this restaurant from June 1 thru October 23.  Any debit cards that have been used at Burger King in Wauwatosa since October 23 have been placed in a protective strategy which limits transactions and assists in preventing most fraud.

The debit cards affected will be re-issued no later than January 6 if you do not call us prior.  Remember, you are not responsible for unauthorized transactions that you report to North Shore Bank. If you feel your card has been compromised or is at risk: It would be in your best interest to close your card down immediately. If you will be traveling for the holidays, please contact our Call Center (877.672.2265) immediately to find out how we can protect your account while you're away from home.
