Bank Leads Seminar on Minimizing Business Fraud Risk

North Shore Bank partnered with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce to host a free business fraud prevention seminar on Thursday, April 19 at Veterans Terrace in Burlington. We were pleased to meet attendees and help them gain a better understanding of what to look for and how to avoid fraud.

Event attendees learned about the types of business fraud, fraud’s financial impact, what can happen to an organization that is affected by fraud, common fraud schemes, real-life Wisconsin examples and more. They also received tips on how to plan for fraud incidents and how to take corrective action after an incident is discovered.

Jeffrey Luczak, assistant vice president of commercial treasury solutions at North Shore Bank, lead the discussion on current scams and provided tips for area businesses to minimize their risk.
