Bank on Kindness®

A Community-Minded Commitment from North Shore Bank

"No Act of Kindness, No Matter How Small, is Ever Wasted."

As a community bank, giving back is important to us. Our Bank on Kindness initiative finds meaningful, fun, and special ways throughout the year to carry out acts of kindness from The Bank of You. We look for opportunities – big and small – in our communities to offer help to others and lend our support. North Shore Bank is a community-minded bank, it’s at the heart of what we do. Thank you for contributing to our community campaigns for those in need.

Spreading Kindness with 100 Acts of Kindness!

We're celebrating our 100th birthday with 100 Acts of Kindness.

As part of North Shore Bank’s Bank on Kindness® initiative and in celebration of our 100th anniversary, we’ve set a goal to complete 100 Acts of Kindness, and you are welcome to join us in spreading kindness too!

Stay posted to our social media channels as we share the stories from our staff carrying out good deeds within the communities we serve.

It’s a great way to create happiness for ourselves and others, and commemorate our 100 years of service as your community bank.

Thank you for helping us spread kindness with donations benefiting Children’s Wisconsin!

In honor of National Family Literacy Month, we were able to support Children’s by providing books for their Milwaukee and Fox Valley Hospitals as well as its school-based mental health programs with a donation of over $6,000.

Your donations helped Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), Child Life and Creative Arts Therapies, and School-Based Mental Health Programs.

Together, we filled the shelves of NICU “book nooks” for countless families to enjoy, plus promoted brain development and bonding; made it possible for Child Life to acquire developmentally-appropriate teaching books to help educate patients about their bodies and diagnoses as well as prepare for procedures and treatments; and allowed therapists to stock their offices with age-appropriate mental and behavioral health books to give to patients — including those in under-served communities. These books help reinforce lessons, tools and tactics long after a session is over. Thank you!

Our commitment to you.

Whether our kindness crews are dropping off flowers to seniors or “thank yous” to teachers, firefighters, or volunteers, helping to pay for someone’s groceries or gas, or contributing funds to fill pantry shelves; we are happy to support the spread of kindness where we live and work.

Join us and discover opportunities to perform good deeds and lift one another’s spirits. When you do, feel free to include our #BankOnKindness. You can find us where you are in social media under @NorthShoreBank on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Bank on Kindness Food Drives raise over $29,000 for Wisconsin food pantries.

Thank you to everyone who joined North Shore Bank in spreading kindness to our neighbors in need! With your help, our February 2021 Bank on Kindness initiative to spread goodwill in our communities raised over $23,000 for local hunger-relief efforts in Wisconsin.

Food PantryOur customers, neighbors, and bank employees donated $17,236.50 to the drive and North Shore Bank matched for another $4,500 plus the bank donated $1,681.56 in groceries during this year’s Race for the Hungry events.

Then, again in February of 2022, our customers, employees, and community members showed support for their favorite participating food pantry with an online donation in our Bank on Kindness campaign. North Shore Bank also gave $4,500 in matching funds ($500 to each food pantry) and over $1,700 in groceries collected in its 13th Annual Race for the Hungry to assist food pantries. We’re pleased to have been able to donate over $6,200 to food pantries throughout eastern Wisconsin in our communities.

Since the inception of our Bank on Kindness efforts, we are proud to have collected over $29,000 for these Wisconsin food pantries: Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay, Family Sharing of Ozaukee County, Shalom Center of Interfaith Network of Kenosha County, Sussex Outreach Services, Food Pantry of Waukesha County, Racine County Food Bank, St. Joseph Food Program in Menasha, the Milwaukee Christian Center, Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee, and Grace Welcome Center.

We're grateful to all who helped spread kindness to those in need at our local food pantries.

Thank you for helping us raise nearly $10,000 in two weeks for local Veterans!

Honor Flight LogosWe are thrilled to share the donation drive results from our Bank on Kindness campaign for Honor Flight organizations in northeast and southeast Wisconsin.

A total of $9,690 was donated to support local Veterans, with community donations of $5,690 and the bank full matching dollars of $2,000 to each organization, Old Glory Honor Flight and Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

We are pleased with how the campaign went and grateful to all who supported the Honor Flights and paid tribute to our local Veterans. With your help, we raised enough money to cover the costs of 19 individuals to have the Honor Flight experience. Thank you!

The community had the opportunity to donate to the campaign from Nov. 1 – Nov. 14, 2021. Previous Bank on Kindness initiatives have raised funds for area food pantries as well as animal-related non-profits.
