Green Bay, Wis. –
North Shore Bank today announced its plans to spread kindness this summer with the creation of a giant, kindness-themed art installation in front of its Pulaski branch, located at 165 N St Augustine St. Painting of the 7-ft “BE KIND” letters has begun with some local faces.
The bank is partnering with well-known Green Bay area artist
Gregory Frederic, as well as the Pulaski Middle School students, who have been concepting, designing and now painting the installation.
“As a community bank, we’re always looking for fun and positive ways to engage our neighbors. What better way to continue to spread our Bank on Kindness
® message than a giant reminder, designed and painted by a talented local artist, along with the Pulaski Middle School students,” said Katie Longsine, community engagement and area branch manager for North Shore Bank.
The artwork will be finalized and unveiled during a news conference on Wednesday, May 15 at 10:30 a.m. with Village of Pulaski President Keith Chambers, representatives from North Shore Bank, artist Gregory Frederic, Pulaski Middle School students and
SAGE founder and Executive Director of the Pulaski Chamber of Commerce Stacey Von Busch. During the unveiling, Village President Chambers will proclaim May 15, 2024 “Be Kind Day.”
“The students have been having so much fun working with Gregory Frederic and North Shore Bank on concepting, designing and painting the letters,” said Von Busch, whose arts advocacy organization assisted the students. “The letters serve as a powerful reminder for youth and adults alike, so it’s an important project that is helping them gain not only real-world experience in art, but also work to feel proud of in their community.”
This effort is part of North Shore Bank’s Bank on Kindness
® program, where the community bank encourages the spread of kindness through events, activations and installations, like Pulaski’s BE KIND letters.
