Brookfield, Wis. – As part of
North Shore Bank’s Bank on Kindness ® initiative in Pulaski, which kicked off earlier this summer with the unveiling of giant “BE KIND” letters in front of
the Pulaski branch, the community bank will host
SAGE, an artist advocacy organization based out of Green Bay, on Tuesday, July 30 at 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at 165 N. Augustine St. for a celebration of local art and artists. The organization and some of its contributing artists will present an evening centered around the impact arts and culture have on creating a thriving, socially engaged community.
“Artists are everywhere, and opportunities shouldn’t be limited to larger communities,” SAGE president and Pulaski resident Stacey Von Busch shared. “SAGE is excited to have been invited to Pulaski to showcase some of the village’s local talents as well as partner with the Village of Pulaski Police Department to demonstrate what the arts can do to benefit any community. We’re grateful to North Shore Bank for holding space for us to create an evening where guests can immerse themselves in the arts.”
At the event, guests will find artists from their own community who contributed original works to be hung inside the police station, artists with work that’s for sale, and a hands-on community project hosted by Pulaski’s own Kim Wozniak. During the event, SAGE will unveil a new design for the police department’s “Paws of Pulaski” squad, and will reveal highly-anticipated news about the organization’s future.
“Needless to say, we’re very excited North Shore Bank afforded us the opportunity to pack so much in to a single evening for this remarkable rural community,” added Von Busch.
North Shore Bank will be hosting an art supply drive to assist with SAGE’s free community programming and will also be presenting a financial contribution of $500 towards the efforts to kick off the donation drive.
“We kicked off our summer of kindness in May with the reveal of our BE KIND letters in front of our branch, and since then we’ve been supporting a number of organizations in Pulaski, including SAGE,” said Katie Longsine, branch and community engagement manager at North Shore Bank. “It’s events like this that engage both our beloved community members, as well as partners that we love to be a part of. Come visit us on July 30 and join us in supporting local artists.”
