BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it will participate in the sixth annual “Taking Strides to End Suicide” 5K walk for suicide awareness on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hydro Park in Kaukauna and run a ‘Pinwheels for Prevention’ awareness campaign.

The public is invited to attend the event to walk and enjoy live music, raffles, children’s activities, informational booths, refreshments and more. The event benefits the Center for Suicide Awareness, which provides support for those in need, education at local schools, and training for educators, healthcare professionals, police and others.

The community is also invited to stop by North Shore Bank’s Menasha (1500 Appleton Rd.) or Appleton Northland (1100 W. Northland Ave.) branches to add a name to a blue pinwheel in honor of those touched by suicide. The pinwheels will be on display during the walk.
