North Shore Bank Helps Kick Off Candy Cane Lane on Nov. 25

Community invited to donate to Change for a Cure drive to benefit the MACC Fund

BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it will help kick off the annual Candy Cane Lane holiday lights display by hosting North Shore Bank Night from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25. Bank employees will be on hand at the event’s opening night to collect loose change for the North Shore Bank Change for a Cure drive to benefit Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc. (MACC Fund).

North Shore Bank will also collect change from Nov. 25 through Dec. 26 at its Southwest (9131 W. Oklahoma Ave.), New Berlin (15505 W. National Ave.), West Allis (10533 W. National Ave.), Southridge (5101 S. 76th St.), Jackson Park (4230 W. Oklahoma Ave.), Wauwatosa (8706 W. North Ave.), and Oak Creek (8701 S. Howell Ave.) branches. The bank will match MACC Fund donations up to $1,000.

Candy Cane Lane’s Mascot Night will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9.  Mascots from around Milwaukee, including North Shore Bank’s own Seymour Savings, will welcome spectators to the holiday wonderland.

“North Shore Bank is proud to continue its longtime support of Candy Cane Lane and the MACC Fund,” said Joline Hendren, branch manager for North Shore Bank. “We invite the community to come out, enjoy some holiday spirit and donate their spare change to help support childhood cancer research.”

Each season, the West Allis neighborhood bounded by Oklahoma to Montana avenues and 92nd to 96th streets is transformed into a festive holiday lights display called Candy Cane Lane. People come from all over the Midwest to drive or stroll through the uniquely decorated neighborhood. The free event runs from Friday, Nov. 25 through Friday, Dec. 26. In addition to donating at the branches listed, visitors can make a MACC Fund donation at Candy Cane Lane throughout the event, and can donate online at www.candycanelanewi.com.
