North Shore Bank's Racine Branches to Host Chili Cook-off Dec. 4

All proceeds to benefit HALO of Racine’s Snowflake Fund

BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced it will host a chili cook-off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at four Racine branches – Westgate (4923 Washington Ave.), Northside (3911 N. Main St.), Regency (5723 Durand Ave.) and Burlington (116 S. Pine St.).

The community is invited to warm up with a bowl of chili with all of the fixings for $2 or to sample each flavor for $4. All proceeds will benefit the Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization (HALO) Snowflake Fund, which provides warm beds for individuals in Racine County during the winter months.

The official taste-off will take place at noon at the Northside location. Judges will be Amy Macemon, HALO community and volunteer programs manager; Beth Heidorn, Racine Zoo executive director; and Paul Holley, marketing director at Real Racine.

“The chili cook-off is a great way to get our community together to enjoy the season and to help our neighbors in need,” said Brian Bozek, district manager for North Shore Bank. “We invite everyone to stop by, enjoy some delicious chili and help give everyone in Racine a warm place to sleep this winter.”
