North Shore Bank to Host Eleventh Annual Race for the Hungry in Kenosha

Supermarket race to benefit The Shalom Center food pantry

BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it will host the eleventh annual Race for the Hungry event at Kenosha Festival Foods, 3207 80th St.. Race for the Hungry is an annual community event that challenges participants in a head-to-head competition to support local food pantries.

This year’s event will benefit The Shalom Center food pantry. Representatives from the Shalom Center will be teaming up to race through the supermarket aisles to fill the pantry’s wish list. The winner will receive a $100 gift card and the runner-up will receive a $50 card. North Shore Bank will donate the food collected during the race to the pantry. Dana Crawford and Dustin Beth comprise one team and Wendy Cross and Lynn Kancian the other. 

“We’re thrilled to be hosting our eleventh annual Race for the Hungry to help our neighbors in need,” said Brian Bozek, district manager for the bank. “We encourage everyone to get involved, whether by dashing up and down supermarket aisles or by donating non-perishable food items. Together we can help make a family’s New Year a little brighter.”

The race will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8.  All items collected during the race will feed local families in need.
