Preventing Fraud Topic of Seminar in WaukeshaOn May 24, North Shore Bank partnered with Regus to host a free business fraud prevention seminar at Regus in Waukesha. Event attendees learned about the types of business fraud, fraud’s financial impact, what can happen to an organization that is affected by fraud, common fraud schemes, real-life Wisconsin examples, and more. They also received information on how to plan for fraud incidents and how to take corrective action after an incident is discovered.

Penny Foust, North Shore Bank’s treasury manager, discussed current scams and provided tips for area businesses to minimize their risk. Panelists included Abby Huntington from Marsh & McLennan Insurance; Paul Sheahan from Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp, S.C.; and Senior Engineer Dan Placek of Swicktech.
