Appleton Flag Day Parade

The 67th Annual Flag Day Parade
was held in Appleton June 10, 2017 to celebrate community, family traditions, and respect for Old Glory. The parade featured over 100 military units with participants from veteran’s organizations, scout troops, walking units, multiple marching bands, and North Shore Bank.

In 1949, the Appleton Elks Club made the decision to honor the U.S. Flag with a community parade. The Elks, many of whom were WWII veterans, wanted each citizen to be proud to live in the United States of America and to appreciate their freedom. The first Flag Day Parade in Appleton was held in 1950. North Shore Bank is proud to have been a part of the community’s local tradition for the past 27 years. View pictures from this year's event.
