Q: Do I need to have banking experience to qualify for a teller position?
A: No. However, we do require a minimum of 6 months customer service and cash handling experience. Any cash handling experience - even in a fast-food restaurant, for example- can be a good training ground for serving customers in a banking environment. We also value the ability to relate well to people of all ages and backgrounds. North Shore Bank prides itself on establishing close, trusting relationships with its customers.
Q: Do you offer training to your employees?
A: Yes. We provide a three-week training program for Customer Service Representatives, including two weeks of on-the-job training and one week of formal classroom training. In addition, we offer a wide variety of employee development programs such as Management, Sales, and Supervisor training.
Q: When are employees eligible for health benefits?
A: Health, dental and prescription drug coverage are available to you from the first day of the month following your date of hire. (For example, if you start March 25, you are eligible on April 1.)
Q: How much vacation do you offer to employees?
A: We offer employees two weeks of paid vacation annually as of January 1st following the date of hire, on a pro-rated basis.
