North Shore Bank Hosts 'Safety Saturday' in Kenosha
Free family event includes car wash, internet safety and prizes
KENOSHA – North Shore Bank today announced that it will host “Safety Saturday” in Kenosha on Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“It’s always exciting to see families come together for a free, fun event that can teach some important lessons, too,” said Kathy Storck, regional district manager for North Shore Bank. “It feels good to reach out to the community, and we’re happy to host an event that gives us a chance to give back.”
The day’s events – at the Kenosha branch at 6906 Green Bay Rd. – include:
- Getting information on Internet safety
- Checking out the American Red Cross emergency rescue vehicle
- Talking with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Dept. about child ID kits
- Getting information about protecting kids from identity theft
North Shore Bank has also teamed up with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Bubrick’s Complete Office, and United Stationers Foundation for “Car Wash 4 Kids” on Sept. 11 to benefit patients at the hospital. The bank will host a car wash at the Kenosha branch until noon where area sports teams are volunteering their time to wash the cars. Tickets are $5 at any Southeast Wisconsin North Shore Bank branch, or they can be purchased ahead of time at www.bubricks.com.
Members of the public who come to Safety Saturday can also enter to win an iPod Touch, Milwaukee Public Museum passes, Subway gift cards and more. Parents can also visit the mortgage lending office which is housed at the Kenosha branch.
