North Shore Bank Celebrates Grafton Branch Anniversary
Week-long celebration takes place at both Ozaukee County branches
GRAFTON – North Shore Bank (www.northshorebank.com) today announced it will celebrate its Grafton branch’s one-year anniversary with week-long festivities June 1-5 at both Ozaukee County branches. The one-of-a-kind Grafton branch, located at 2301 Wisconsin Ave. across from Sendik's, incorporates a historic stone farmhouse that has stood on the site since 1869. The Mequon branch is located at 10806 N. Port Washington Rd. next to Stein’s Garden and Gifts.
“The occasion of our Grafton branch’s one-year anniversary is a great way to celebrate both of our Ozaukee County branches,” said Dane Didier, Grafton branch manager. “We strive to provide the best high-touch service to our customers and clients, and we want to have fun with our success, too!”
On Tuesday, June 1, North Shore Bank will host gardening seminars with Leaf Land Garden Center at 10:30 a.m. at the Mequon branch and 1:30 p.m. at the Grafton branch. North Shore Bank will also host identity theft seminars on Wednesday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at the Mequon branch and 2 p.m. at the Grafton branch. Customers will also have a chance to win tickets to “Gathering on the Green” in Mequon.
On Friday, June 4, North Shore Bank will also host “Celebrate the Arts in Grafton,” where the public can enjoy local Plein Air artists at work. Plein Air drawing, sketching and painting is done outside rather than inside, and derives from a French term meaning “in the open air.” The public can enjoy the paintings on display at the Grafton branch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and get the chance to meet local artists and enjoy a reception that same day from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Local artists’ works will also be on display throughout the month of June.
Family Fun in Grafton will take place Saturday, June 5, at the Grafton location. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids are invited to have fun in the bouncy house and participate in other fun activities. The Ozaukee County Humane Society will also be on hand to introduce the public to their pets. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Grafton Fire Department truck will be parked outside and the Ozaukee County Public Health Department is providing child safety seat inspection. Guests can learn safety tips from the Police Department from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and enjoy a demonstration from Chay’s Tae Kwon Do from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Additionally, the bank will host an ice cream social from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Event attendees can enter to win the grand prize of a $500 Sendik’s gift card. Plus, other prizes will be awarded every half hour on Saturday. Free travel hand sanitizer will be given to the first 100 guests.
Throughout the week, customers and the public can cast their ballot to vote for the name of the art gallery inside the Grafton branch. The name options include Gallery 1869, Stonehouse Gallery, Anschuetz Stonehouse Gallery, Fieldstone Gallery, Heinrich Anschuetz Gallery, Lime Kiln Gallery or Old Farmhouse Gallery. The two-story stone home that North Shore Bank now calls home was built in 1869 by Heinrich Anschuetz, whose family opened the Lime Kiln Quarry in the late 1800s. Many buildings in Grafton and Cedarburg were built with stone from the quarry. North Shore Bank uses much of the renovated building for office space, community events, displays, and an art gallery which features the work of local artists.
North Shore Bank, headquartered in Brookfield, is one of the strongest banks in the country.
