North Shore Bank to Host Free 'Savings Scavenger Hunt' During Family Free Day With Fox 6 at Milwaukee County Zoo
Hunt celebrates "Teach Kids to Save" Month in April
BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that in addition to sponsoring Family Free Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Saturday, April 10, it is also hosting a "Savings Scavenger Hunt" for kids with Fox 6 the same day from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The scavenger hunt celebrates April's "Teach Kids to Save" Month, which focuses on helping kids develop financial literacy at a young age.
"Not only do kids and their families get to come to the zoo on us, but they'll also learn a thing or two about responsible saving," said Sue Doyle, vice president of Branch Administration for North Shore Bank. "It's so important for kids to learn how to save and spend their money, and we're excited about teaching them these important life lessons in a fun way."
Scavenger hunt participants should go to the Gathering Place at the zoo entrance to get a stamp card and map. Kids will get a stamp at each stop where they'll answer savings trivia questions, get temporary tattoos of bank mascot Seymour Savings the seagull, do craft projects, scoop and save from a bucket of money for deposit into a Seymour Savings kids account and more. At the end of the scavenger hunt, the first 300 kids to bring their fully-stamped card to the train station will get a free ride on the North Shore Bank Safari Zoo Train that day.
