BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank, which runs an in-school branch at U.S. Grant School on Milwaukee’s south side, today announced its Jackson Park branch will be a donation site for the Great Grant Exchange, a collection of food, clothing and other gently used household items to help neighborhood families in need. Items will be accepted from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18 – the Dr. Martin Luther King Day holiday – at the branch, 4230 W. Oklahoma Ave.
Collected items will be delivered to Grant School for the Exchange, where families can also donate items or select things they need. The school is at 2920 W. Grant St.
"The idea behind the Great Grant Exchange is for neighbors to help neighbors during these difficult economic times, and North Shore Bank is honored to be part of this important and inspiring effort," said Cennita Jordon, manager of the bank’s Jackson Park branch. "We encourage everyone to stop by and donate something they think another family could use. It’s a great way to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy and to strengthen our community."
