Donate Food for the Hungry, Get Free Gift-wrapping During Holiday Open House at all Racine and Kenosha North Shore Bank Branches
Dec. 12 event celebrates North Shore Bank’s 10th anniversary in Kenosha County
BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it will host a Holiday Open House with complimentary gift-wrapping on Saturday, Dec. 12, at all of its branches in Racine and Kenosha counties. The event, which celebrates the bank’s 10th anniversary in Kenosha, will include volunteers from local charities who will wrap up to three gifts for anyone who brings non-perishable food items to donate to local pantries. There is no charge for wrapping, but donations to the charity gift-wrappers are welcome.
"The holidays are a great time of year in Racine and Kenosha counties, and it’s a wonderful time to celebrate with the food pantries and other nonprofit groups that do such important work in Southeast Wisconsin," said Kathy Storck, regional vice president for North Shore Bank. "We hope everyone will come out to our branches in Racine, Kenosha, Burlington and Union Grove on Dec. 12, donate food items for local families, have their gifts wrapped, support local charities and enjoy some holiday cheer."
North Shore Bank will donate $1 for every pound of food collected during the Open House to local food pantries. Additionally, guests can register to win prizes including an admission package for 10 to the Milwaukee County Zoo, a $50 gas card, $100 in free groceries, $100 Kohl’s gift card and more. Holiday refreshments will be served throughout the day.
North Shore Bank has six branches in Racine and Kenosha counties and will work with the following local groups during the Open House:
- Racine Westgate, 4923 Washington Ave., Racine: Gift wrappers from the Christian Youth Theater with food donations going to the Racine County Food Bank.
- Racine Regency, 5723 Durand, Racine: Gift wrappers from Wisconsin Lutheran Home and School with food donations going to the Racine County Food Bank.
- Racine Northside, 3911 N. Main St., Racine: Gift wrappers from the Wadewitz Elementary School PTA with food donations going to the Racine County Food Bank.
- Kenosha, 6906 Green Bay Road, Kenosha: Gift wrappers from Bradford High School Band and National Honor Society with food donations going to the Shalom Center. Band members will also play holiday music during the open house.
- Burlington, 116 S. Pine St., Burlington: Gift wrappers from Burlington High School Spanish IV with food donations going to LOVE, Inc.
- Union Grove, 1101 Main St., Union Grove: Gift wrappers from Union Grove High School Key Club with food donations going to the Union Grove Area Food Bank.
