North Shore Bank To Donate $1,923 to The Center For The Deaf And Hard of Hearing in Honor of Bank's 85th Anniversary

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - North Shore Bank today announced that it will donate $1,923 to the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CDHH), a nonprofit agency dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals with hearing loss from infants to the elderly, in honor of the bank's 85th anniversary.

"We are excited to accept this donation on behalf of the Center," said Dorothy Kerr, executive director of the CDHH. "This donation will be used to help fund various programs and technology that we offer for the families and other individuals who use our services. This is a great way for North Shore Bank to celebrate its anniversary by being involved in and giving to the community."

North Shore Bank invited people to nominate a local charity located in one of the bank's service areas who would use the donation to benefit a local community initiative. Talonda Brown of Milwaukee, a customer at the bank, nominated CDHH.

"I have been making donations to this organization for a while now," said Talonda Brown. "My interest in sign language and interpretation originally drew me to the Center. The organization goes above and beyond to help provide a better life for the hearing impaired. I am pleased to bank with a company that goes the extra mile to help organizations in the communities in which they serve."

"For the last 85 years, North Shore Bank has worked hard to find ways to recognize organizations that are working to help make a difference in the community," said Steve Steiner, North Shore Bank's senior vice president. "We are pleased to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of an organization that has been committed to helping the community for almost as long as we have."

North Shore Bank, headquartered in Brookfield, was established in 1923 and recently celebrated its 85th anniversary. As one of the strongest banks in the country, it has assets of $1.7 billion and 43 offices throughout eastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. Current Wisconsin branch locations are in metro Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Appleton, Menasha, the Green Bay area, Burlington, Union Grove and Door County. North Shore Bank also has two Illinois State Bank offices in McHenry County, Ill. The bank opened its 43rd office in Grafton, Wis., in November 2008. To find an office, visit northshorebank.com.
