North Shore Bank to Continue to Serve Cub Foods Neighborhoods

North Shore Bank branches to remain on store premises while bank pursues new locations near soon-to-be closed supermarkets

BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that its two Cub Foods branches in Green Bay will remain open after the supermarkets close, and the bank is currently looking for new, permanent branch locations near both stores.

“We have many loyal, long-time customers at both of our Cub Foods locations, and we are committed to continuing to provide the top-quality service they’ve come to expect from North Shore Bank for many years to come,” said Steve Arps, vice president of consumer markets for the bank. “We have arranged with Cub Foods’ corporate office to keep our branches open in the store buildings as we work to secure new, permanent locations in the same neighborhoods. Our plan is to provide uninterrupted service and a seamless transition.”

Cub Foods announced earlier this month that it would close its stores at 2280 E. Mason St. and 1616 W. Mason St. where North Shore Bank has operated full-service branches inside the supermarkets for many years. The branches remain open seven days a week with no change in lobby hours. Both locations are open Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“North Shore Bank has a strong, solid customer base throughout eastern Wisconsin, and we look forward to continuing to be an active and involved member of the Green Bay community,” Arps said.

North Shore Bank operates seven branches in the Green Bay area, as well as three in the Appleton area and three in Door County.

North Shore Bank, headquartered in Brookfield, is one of the strongest banks in the country. It has assets of nearly $1.9 billion and 43 offices throughout eastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. Current Wisconsin branch locations are in metro Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Appleton, Menasha, the Green Bay area, Burlington, Union Grove and Door County. North Shore Bank also has two Illinois State Bank offices in McHenry County, Ill. The bank opened its 43rd office in Grafton, Wis., in October and is building its 44th office in Mequon, Wis.
