North Shore Bank to Host Fire Department Fundraiser in Memory of Fire Chief Frank Wichlacz
Halloween festivities to benefit the Pulaski Fire Department
PULASKI, Wis. - North Shore Bank will host a fundraiser in memory of fallen Fire Chief Frank Wichlacz to benefit the Pulaski Fire Department on Friday, Oct. 31. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the bank's Pulaski branch, 165 N. St. Augustine St.
The public is invited to enjoy a mild five-alarm chili lunch with all the fixings, at the cost of a simple donation to the fire department. Fire trucks will be on display for children to explore, with firefighters on hand to explain how everything works. There will also be a costume contest and a pet parade beginning at 2 p.m.
"North Shore Bank is excited for the opportunity to host such a fun event to benefit our community," said Pulaski branch manager Mistine Thomsen. "Chief Wichlacz was a vital and supportive citizen of Pulaski, and we are honored to host this event in memory of him."
Wichlacz, a 51-year veteran of the Pulaski Fire Department, lost his life in the line of duty in July at the age of 76. Many remember Wichlacz as a great organizer and someone who could motivate people to help out. North Shore Bank hopes that this legacy will continue and the event will be a success for the Pulaski Fire Department.
