North Shore Bank Opens Early in Grafton

Bank to operate office in new shopping center until branch construction is complete

'Temporary Grand Opening' activities set for November 22

GRAFTON - North Shore Bank today announced that because of an already high volume of business in the Grafton community, it has opened a temporary office in the new shopping center at 2293 Wisconsin Ave, across the street from Sendik's. The temporary location will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday until construction of the bank's state-of-the-art Grafton branch is complete.

"We've held a number of special events and promotions to celebrate North Shore Bank's entrance into the Grafton market, and the local response has been so phenomenal that we decided to open our doors early," said Dane Didier, Grafton branch manager. "We're excited to welcome Grafton-area residents to our temporary office, and to become even more involved in the local community."

North Shore Bank will celebrate a 'temporary grand opening' at the new office on Saturday, November 22, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Activities will include a visit from Radio Disney AM1640's Road Crew who will be on hand at 11 a.m. with music, games, and prizes -- plus a chance for someone to win four tickets to see the Cheetah Girls LIVE on December 5. There will be seasonal treats, account specials, and more prizes to register to win including a Holiday Shopping Spree where the winner received $100 to spend at each of the following stores: The Home Depot, Target, Best Buy, Kohl's and DICK's Sporting Goods. Attendees can also register to win a Nintendo Wii gaming package, $200 to spend at Sendik's, Grafton Chamber Checks, free fuel and more.

"It will be a great event, and we encourage everyone to stop by and see us," Didier said. "While we can't show off our beautiful new building yet, we will show off our commitment to serving the Grafton community. The temporary branch will offer the same banking services as all of North Shore Bank's 40 offices in eastern Wisconsin. Customers can open accounts, apply for loans, make deposits and withdrawals, and more."

North Shore Bank broke ground on its new Grafton branch at 2301 Wisconsin Ave. - next door to the temporary location and across from Sendik's - in July. The branch, which will incorporate the Heinrich Anschuetz stone home that has stood on the site since 1869, is scheduled to be finished in early 2009.

North Shore Bank, headquartered in Brookfield, is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year and is one of the strongest banks in the country. It has assets of $1.7 billion and 42 offices throughout eastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. Current Wisconsin branch locations are in metro Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Appleton, Menasha, the Green Bay area, Burlington, Union Grove and Door County. North Shore Bank also has two Illinois State Bank offices in McHenry County, Ill. The bank opened its 43rd office in Grafton, Wis., on November 10, 2008. To find an office, visit northshorebank.com.
