North Shore Bank's Sussex Branch Named Sussex Chamber's Business of the Year

BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that its Sussex branch was named 2008 Business of the Year by the Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce. Branch manager Candy Walecki accepted the award at the Chamber’s holiday banquet on Dec. 13.

“To be named the Sussex Chamber’s Business of the Year is a real honor for our branch and for North Shore Bank, because it recognizes our deep commitment to the communities where we do business,” Walecki said. “We’re proud to be a neighbor and community partner in Sussex. It’s a great place to live and work.”

The award recognizes successful businesses that have contributed to the Sussex community and are active within the Sussex Chamber. Since opening its Sussex branch at W249 N6600 Highway 164 in 2005, North Shore Bank has sponsored the 2007 and 2008 Sussex fireworks, held local Halloween celebrations, sponsored a Children’s Ping Pong drop during the Sussex Lions Dazes festival, member of the Sussex Lioness Club, and been involved in many Chamber and Village events. The branch was awarded the Village of Sussex “Successfully Sussex” award earlier this year.
