North Shore Bank To Host Pre-opening Celebration

Sept. 6 and 7 pre-opening to feature Milwaukee-Chicago baseball giveaways, account specials, donations to Grafton-Cedarburg Booster Clubs, free sundaes on Sunday and more

GRAFTON, Wis. - North Shore Bank today announced it will kick off its Grafton "pre-opening" on Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7, with account specials, a WKTI-FM radio remote, free sundaes on Sunday and a chance to win hundreds of dollars in prizes, including tickets to see Milwaukee and Chicago battle it out in their final series of the season at Miller Park.

The pre-opening celebration will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 6 and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 7 at North Shore Bank's Grafton site, 2301 Wisconsin Ave., across from Sendik's. The permanent branch, incorporating the Heinrich Anschuetz stone home that has stood on the site since 1869, is scheduled to be finished in early 2009.

"We are so excited to be entering the Grafton marketplace that we decided to open our doors a little early - before we even have doors, in fact," said Stephen J. Steiner, senior vice president - Retail Banking for North Shore Bank. "We've heard from many people in Grafton that banking with a locally owned institution is important to them, and we thought there's no time like the present to start serving the Ozaukee County community."

Those opening accounts during the event can receive a variety of pre-opening specials, including up to $200 in free cash by opening a new checking account with direct deposit, as well as special rates on CDs, savings accounts, money market accounts and home equity lines of credit. Additionally, for every new account opened, the bank will donate $10 to the Grafton or Cedarburg Booster Club - customer's choice.

Other pre-opening activities include:

  • A grand-prize drawing for Milwaukee-Chicago baseball tickets, a family waterpark and golf weekend at Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells and $100 in free gas. The drawing is open to all visitors, and participants need not be present to win.
  • $50 Miller Park gift certificates, which can be used for tickets and parking during the 2008 season, to be given away every half hour. Participants must be present to win the half-hourly drawings.
  • Free refreshments, including free ice cream sundaes on Sunday.
  • Children's coloring fun, tattoos, and a chance to meet the bank's mascot, Seymour Savings.
  • WKTI-FM remote at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
  • Free companion airfare voucher for first 50 visitors on Sunday.

"We're looking forward to a great weekend, and we encourage everyone to come out and learn more about North Shore Bank," Steiner said. "We place a high value on involvement in our local communities, and we're excited to be a new neighbor in Grafton."
