North Shore Bank's Two Shorewood Branches To Collect Food For Hungry Families
'Giving Tree' program to benefit America's Second Harvest of Wisconsin
SHOREWOOD, Wis. - North Shore Bank today announced that its Shorewood branches will collect non-perishable food items for America's Second Harvest of Wisconsin throughout the month of December. Items can be dropped off at the bank's East branch at 3970 N. Oakland Ave. or the Shorewood branch at 4414 N. Oakland Ave.
The food collection is part of the bank's annual "Giving Tree" program, said Dane Didier, manager of the bank's Shorewood branch.
"The holidays can be a very difficult time for hungry families in our community, and we wanted to find a way for our employees, customers, neighbors and friends to help," Didier said. "Community involvement is an important part of what we do at North Shore Bank, and we're glad to offer this opportunity for the Shorewood community to come together and feed hungry people this holiday season."
Collections of non-perishable food items (no glass or non-food items, please) will be accepted during regular lobby hours, Didier said. The East branch is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The Shorewood branch is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
"We encourage everyone to stop by, donate an item or two, and help make the holidays brighter for local families in need," Didier said.
