North Shore Bank's Annual "Toys For Tunes" Drive To Collect New Educational Games And Toys For The Salvation Army

Toys accepted at bank's Southeast Wisconsin branches until June 24; donors receive one free Summerfest admission ticket per toy.

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - North Shore Bank today announced it will be collecting new educational games and toys through its second annual "Toys For Tunes" drive for the Salvation Army's Emergency Lodge and its Children's Education Center. Starting Tuesday, June 5, through Sunday, June 24, people can bring a new game or toy to any of North Shore Bank's branches in Southeast Wisconsin. Individuals will receive one free Summerfest admission ticket in exchange for the item.

"We are pleased to be partnering with the Salvation Army again this year to collect educational games and toys to help people in this community," said Steve Steiner, senior vice president-Retail Banking for North Shore Bank. "There are many families in this community who cannot afford games or toys for their children and this is a great way for people to help others in the Milwaukee area and give back. We hope many people will stop by one of our branches between now June 24 to donate an item and receive free admission to Summerfest."

The Summerfest ticket will be good for entrance to the festival from noon to 3 p.m. on North Shore Bank's Community Day, Saturday, June 30. The first 1,500 people to donate an unwrapped toy will receive a ticket to Summerfest.

"We are thrilled that North Shore Bank will be collecting these items for us to give to the hundreds of children and families who use our services," said Jamey Shiels, community relations director of the Salvation Army. "We see firsthand the huge smiles on the faces of the children who receive these toys, and we hope that many people will make a donation that will be used to help their neighbors."

According to Shiels, the Salvation Army could use toys that are appropriate for children ages infant to 17. Suggested items include baby rattles, teethers, activity toys for infants, stuffed animals, dolls, coloring books and crayons, trucks, games and sports items.
