Original Band Of Brothers Veteran Norm Neitzke To Meet Customers At New North Shore Bank Branch In Sussex On Nov. 10

Bank to collect items for local troops overseas

SUSSEX, Wis. - North Shore Bank today announced that Band of Brothers veteran Norm Neitzke will be at the bank to meet and talk with customers and members of the community at its new branch in Sussex from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10. The full-service branch is located at W249 N6600 Highway 164 (the intersection of Highway 164 and Main Street/Highway VV/Silver Spring) in the Village of Sussex. The bank will also be collecting items for local troops serving overseas and will have food and prizes for those in attendance.

Norm Neitzke, a member of the renowned Band of Brothers, will greet guests and autograph books and the DVD of the series describing his World War II regiment's experiences. Known as Easy Company, the U.S. Army's 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division parachuted into France on D-Day morning, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. The bank is also sponsoring free Sussex-Lisbon Senior Shuttle service on Nov. 10 to help people get to and from the bank.

"We are pleased to have Norm Neitzke at our branch in honor of Veteran's Day weekend," said Lyneen Fischer, vice president and District Manager for the bank's central region. "This is a way for the bank to honor all veterans and provide the community with an opportunity to meet and talk with Norm. We hope that many people will stop by the branch on Friday."

People who stop by the bank on Nov. 10 are invited to bring items for the local troops serving overseas. Suggested items include: tuna pouches, Chex mix, pepper packets (no salt), poker chips, beef jerkey/sticks, Goldfish crackers, Chap Stick, playing cards, hard candy/gun, nuts/trail mix, hand wipes/sanitizers and Zip-lock bags. All items will be packaged and distributed to the troops.

In addition, the bank will offer Culver's sundaes and Perks bakery, prizes and account offers throughout the day. Neitzke is a North Shore Bank a resident of Menomonee Falls.
