Bank branch - first in Appleton to be open seven days a week - celebrates with grand opening activities, including the Home Depot clinics, Ice Cream Social and family entertainment

APPLETON - North Shore Bank today announced that it will hold a free backyard barbecue with tailgate buddies Mad Dog & Merrill on Saturday, Aug. 6, as part of a two-day celebration marking the grand opening of the bank's new Northland Avenue office. The grilling experts will cook up free brats from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the new branch, 1200 Northland Ave.

"We're excited to opening a new full-service office in Appleton, and we wanted to do something fun to celebrate with our customers and neighbors," said Steve Arps, vice president and district manager of the bank's northeast region. "We're looking forward to a great time with Mad Dog & Merrill, and to a terrific two-day celebration overall."

Branch to be open seven days a week

The new office will be the first stand-alone bank branch in Appleton to be open seven days a week, Arps said. The office inside the Cub Foods store next to the new branch will continue to serve customers seven days a week once its remodeling is complete later this summer.

Additionally, the bank's office at 1500 Appleton Road in Menasha has expanded its hours and adopted a seven-day schedule, Arps said.

"We're pleased to offer our Appleton area customers the opportunity to take care of all of their banking needs seven days a week," Arps said. "Our research indicates that consumers want and need flexibility when it comes to banking, and this extended seven-day schedule is an excellent way for us to provide that flexibility to our customers."

The new Northland branch offers three drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM and commercial night depository, safe deposit boxes, high-speed Internet access and more. In order to better serve surrounding communities, the new location also houses the bank's Fox Cities Mortgage Loan Center and has business bankers and investment specialists available to assist customers.

North Shore Bank has two other stand alone, full-service offices in the Appleton area - one in downtown Appleton at 320 E. College Avenue and the other in Menasha at 1500 Appleton Road, plus 16 offices in Northeastern Wisconsin.

North Shore Bank, headquartered in Brookfield, was founded in 1923. It has assets of $1.8 billion, deposits of almost $1.2 billion and a total of 41 branches throughout eastern Wisconsin. In addition to branches in the Fox Valley, current branches are located in Green Bay, Howard, Allouez, Pulaski, De Pere, Algoma, Two Rivers, Door County, metro Milwaukee, Racine, Union Grove, Kenosha, and Burlington. North Shore Bank also has mortgage production offices in Madison and Tampa, Fla. and is building a new branch that will open this fall in Franklin.
