BROOKFIELD, Wis. - North Shore Bank today announced three days of fun - including an appearance by grilling experts Mad Dog and Merrill, professional pumpkin carving and decorating tips, family trick or treating, prizes and more - to celebrate the grand opening of its De Pere branch, located in Larry's Piggly Wiggly supermarket at 575 Swan Road.

"Adding a branch in De Pere gives our Green Bay area customers yet another convenient location for all their banking needs," said Steve Arps, vice president and Northeast district manager for North Shore Bank. "We've got a fun weekend planned, and hope people from throughout De Pere and the surrounding community stop by and join in the celebration."

The grand opening celebration will take place on Thursday, Oct. 23, and run through Saturday, Oct. 25. Each day people who stop by the new branch will have the chance to win great prizes on the Lucky Gumball Machine, including $25 shopping sprees, gasoline gift cards and Seroogy's chocolate bars. Plus, there will be account specials, free balloons for children and refreshments served daily.

Thursday has been designated as Game Day and will feature a tailgating party hosted by grilling experts Mad Dog & Merrill. The party will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and feature free hot dogs and game time goodies.

Friday is Customer Appreciation Day for both North Shore Bank and Piggly Wiggly Customers. Exclusively at the De Pere branch, customers who open a new checking account can receive 10 percent off that day's grocery bill. From 4 to 7 p.m., a professional pumpkin carver will offer demonstrations and decorating tips for truly unique Jack-o-lanterns. Additionally, from 12 to 4 p.m., Bellin Health will offer flu shots for $17, and the first 100 North Shore Bank and Piggly Wiggly Preferred customers will take home a free gallon of windshield washer fluid.

Saturday has been designated as Spooktacular Family Day. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the whole family can enjoy Halloween cookie decorating and trick or treating. Free fingerprinting for children, as well as Seroogy's chocolate dipping, will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m., and the first 100 children will receive free pumpkins. In addition, Professor Rondini will perform a magic show at 1:30 p.m., and will conduct a magic class at 2:30 p.m.

All visitors to the new De Pere branch can enter to win a Packer Fan Tours package for two to the Green Bay game in San Diego on December 14, 2003. The package includes game tickets, airfare, hotel accommodations and spending money. Second prize is a $100 shopping spree at Larry's Piggly Wiggly and third prize is a $50 gift certificate to the Union Hotel. The new branch will also offer a number of banking specials, including a loan special allowing customers to receive up to 0.50 percent off any consumer loan; up to $100 in free groceries for opening a new checking account; and a special on a 23-month CD for 2.50 percent APY, or 1.50 APY on a 9-month CD.

The De Pere branch is North Shore Bank's 11th Green Bay/Fox Valley location. Other regional branches are in Green Bay, Ashwaubenon, Allouez, Pulaski, Howard, Appleton and Menasha.
