Three days of free events include storytelling and safety fingerprinting for kids, prizes and more
BROOKFIELD, Wis. - North Shore Bank today announced three days of fun - including an appearance by Green Bay Packer Tony Fisher, a football tailgating party, community participation and prizes - to celebrate the grand opening of its Howard branch, located in the Piggly Wiggly supermarket at 2465 Lineville Road.
"The Howard branch brings a new level of convenience to our many customers in Howard and throughout the Green Bay area," said Steve Arps, vice president and Northeast district manager for North Shore Bank. "We're pleased to be a part of the Howard community and hope people throughout the area stop by for the celebration."
The grand opening celebration will take place from Thursday, Feb. 20, to Saturday, Feb. 22. Each day people who stop by the new branch will have the chance to win great prizes on the Lucky Ball Machine, including $25 shopping sprees, gasoline gift cards and Seroogy's chocolate bars. Plus, there will be free balloons for children and refreshments served daily.
Thursday has been designated as Senior Day and will feature free blood pressure screenings from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The bank will also host a football tailgating party from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Olsen's Piggly Wiggly store, which regularly offers a senior discount on Wednesdays, will extend that discount to Thursday.
Friday is Customer Appreciation Day for both North Shore Bank and Piggly Wiggly Preferred Customers. Exclusively at the Howard branch, customers who open a new checking account can receive 10 percent of that day's grocery bill (up to $25) deposited directly into their new account. Additionally, from 4 to 6 p.m. customers can listen to the Bay Port High School choir and stop by for a free gallon of windshield washer fluid as a special thank you gift, while supplies last.
Saturday has been designated Family Day. Green Bay Packer running back Tony Fisher will shake hands and sign autographs from 1 to 3 p.m. The Howard Police Department will offer fingerprinting for children from 1 to 3 p.m. In addition, representatives from the Brown County Library will be holding a storytelling hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Devious the Clown will visit and entertain kids from 12 to 3 p.m.
Visitors to any of North Shore Bank's six metro Green Bay area locations can enter to win a Green Bay Football Package to a 2003 regular season away game, including two game tickets, air fare, hotel accommodations and spending money. Second prize is a $100 shopping spree at Olsen's Piggly Wiggly and third prize is steak dinner for two with all the fixings. Each branch will also offer a number of banking specials, including a free companion airline ticket when a customer opens a new checking account; a loan special allowing customers to receive up to 0.50 percent off any installment loan; and a special on an 11-month CD for 2.75 percent APY. In addition, customers who open a new loan or savings account will receive a two-night hotel stay. For more details, stop by any Green Bay area branch.
The Howard branch is North Shore Bank's 10th Green Bay/Fox Valley location. Other regional branches are in Green Bay, Ashwaubenon, Allouez, Pulaski, Appleton and Menasha.
